Très Parfait Nails

During these cold winter days my sister, Primrose, and I have been getting TOTALLY obsessed with brunch. We let ourselves snooze in a little on the weekends, then we meet up by around 5pm and make the most incredible brunch you can imagine: omelettes, mimosas, waffles… you name it!

This past three day weekend my sister and I definitely went a little overboard on the brunching, hah! We literally made so much yogurt we could barely make a dent in it (my sister owns a cow so we do it all from scratch in her driveway)!

We didn’t want the amazing yogurt to go to waste (we make ours 4%, so it’s EXTRA delicious) so we decided we would have to find a way to use all the ‘gurt. We thought and we thought (while drinking a few Bloody Marys, of course). And that’s when Prim and I came up with the best idea ever…

Parfait Nail Art.

You heard me right!

Why do we limit our brunch fun to just our mouths? I think it’s time we start showing our support for brunch in other really fashionable and practical ways!

Parfait nails (parfait is French for perfect, and trust me, these nails are just that) are so simple to do. All you need is a little yogurt and then a few toppings (like granola, honey, cinnamon, etc) that would normally go on a yogurt dish. Then, with a steady hand, apply the yogurt to clean fingers and decorate with your pre-chosen toppings.

The results are deliciously adorable and so instagramable.

The best part is they are 100% edible. So after a long day of sporting your nail art around town, you can munch on them for a pre-dinner treat.

If you don’t own your own dairy cow, I highly recommend purchasing organic, non GMO yogurt. Trust me, your cuticles will thank you later.

Pro tip: take a Gogurt on the road for any touch-up work you may need.

Could I use goat milk yogurt instead? I’m lactose intolerant.
