Never Shower Again with this DIY Salt Scrub

Honestly the California drought has never looked so good on my skin- I cannot thank Los Angeles skincare guru Lili Lolla (of Lol-la Your Skin Looks Great fame) enough for her amazing recipe that she was kind enough to share with the Des Geulasse team. It’s literally the best excuse not to shower! It’s so wonderful to feel clean without the waste of water- and it’s SO easy if you’re trying to get out of the house fast and don’t have time to get wet.

All you need is 3lbs of table salt, a pinch of rosemary (for smell) and some passion.

Just mix the salt and rosemary and rub the entirety of the mixture over your skin. Then, let it sit for six minutes. You can totally feel the magic cleanse as it sits! You see the salt helps dehydrate the bad oils but it knows to leave all the good ones, so that you look radiant and glowing. I like to spend my time either watching old episodes of the Bachelor or doing some light reading (my favorite book is this one).

Once the six minutes have passed I usually hop in the shower and rinse all the salt off. Because the salt has been sitting so long it’s important to use soap and a scrub brush to really make sure you got everything off. It takes about 15-20 minutes to fully remove all the residue but it’s definitely worth the cleanliness.

So stop wasting water and try out this Salt Scrub right away!

I did this and my skin feels so, so clean! I added a little Clorox instead of the Rosemary (I’m allergic to Rosemary) and it really adds a nice tingly sensation to the process. I definitely lost a lot of skin, so it’s almost like a mani-pedi for your whole body 😉 now I don’t need to shower again for weeks, thanks Phyllus

Quick follow up: don’t use the Clorox, my doctor said that all my skin loss was from the Clorox (whoops!) and that it’ll be weeks before I can go back to work (worth it!!)

This is what I’ve been looking for! I have hard water in my apartment and it’s terrible on my skin so I needed a waterless way to shower. I’ll just use mrs meyers clean day all purpose spray cleaner to rinse off the salt. Thanks!!

Hi Phyllis! I got a new job! I just wanted to drop you a quick message here instead of calling you (I found your number through a private investigator my husband hired LOL). I discovered your Break Up Brunch – Desgeulasse page and noticed you could have a lot more visitors (at least 10 more). I have found that the key to running a popular website is making sure the visitors you are getting are interested in your website topic (imo people would love a post on how to treat oculur fungus with organic products only or maybe a post about anti-pet vaccine movements) . There is a company that you can get keyword targeted visitors from and they let you try their service for free for 7 days. I managed to get over 3 targeted visitors to my blog post about living with small feet and I was so proud!

Hi Mildo, so happy to hear you got a job again! I hope your leg is feeling better after you jumped out that window (I know, I know, your husband says you still blame the cat). Would love to hear more about the company you mentioned 🙂
