Ice Cube Love Letters

I am always desperately searching for new ways to show A I care- and one of my favorite ways is to leave him little notes in creative ways. I love the look on his face when he discovers them (he always acts so embarrassed, it’s adorable!) and I really love knowing I’ve given him a little piece of my literary soul in a physical form.

I recently tried a little something that I think ALL OF YOU need to do right away for your darling sweethearts! I call itย Ice Cube Love Letters. They are the newest and best form of romantic note giving. Best of all they are extremely practical!

All you have to do is write a couple lines of sweet nothings on a piece of paper (using non-toxic ink or edible food pens), cut out the text into slips, and roll them up inside an ice cube tray. Then fill the trays with water and freeze overnight.

Next time your lover is thirsty, throw a couple of the ‘cubes in the drink and watch the magic happen.

You see, after a few minutes the ice cubes will start to melt and if your man is anything like A he will begin to complain of soggy paper contaminating the drink BUT when he goes to take a closer look he will notice your hand crafted letters floating in the beverage!

It was so fun and personal watching A fish out the notes I wrote to him. Honestly I felt almost giddy with joy as he pinched the dripping paper and tried to read the words I wrote from my heart. I think it’s moments like those that bring people closer together.

I love this idea, I’m always trying to find a way to remind my husband of the chores he needs to get done that day and I think this is the way to do it! Subtle but cute!!

AWWWWW A is so lucky, I can only dream of having a boyfriend because the guy I like doesn’t even know I exist (he is a member of a band called One Direction and he is so cute). I wish I could give him a love note in an ice cube ๐Ÿ™

I tried this and I thought it’d look really cute to use crayons so that all the notes would be different colors! My boyfriend was so unappreciative though… He wouldn’t stop complaining about the waxy aftertaste in his mouth and failed to mention how creative and thoughtful I was. Sometimes I don’t know why I even bother doing nice things for him!
